This past weekend my son and I were putzing around in my craft room. I was working on a Christmas card design for my upcoming club events when he suggested I stamp a string of Christmas lights across the top of my card. Of course I told him that I didn’t have a stamp like that. Then it hit me…we could make one!
Stampin’ Up!’s newest product line, Undefined, is a stamp carving kit that I was first introduced to at the July convention. I showed the kit to my son, he watched the video, and then got right to work designing and carving a stamp for me!
Carving your own stamps is not hard, it’s just a bit time consuming if you have a lot of detail in your design. He did a wonderful job carving the stamp…and I just love how the card turned out! His next carving project is a stamp with a set of grapes and a glass of wine to go with my kitchen decor! 🙂
Thanks so much for the compliments! I was pleasantly surprised at how well my son did carving this stamp! I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Cute card Lynn!! This is the first stamp using the undefined set I've seen that I thought was really a good idea!! Congrats to your son for being creative like his mom!!
