Looking for something to do with those canning jars you have been saving…and saving…and saving? Why not put together a quick and easy little gift for someone? I love decorating jars…there are sooooo many different ways to decorate them and you can fill them with your favorite goodies!
For this particular jar, I decided to make a few thank you gifts. I have a bunch of retired Stampin’ Up! fabric that I wanted to use up…the fabric is a great little embellishment for the mouth of the jar. Simply tear some strips of the fabric and tie it around the jar. I also added a bit of crochet trim and a vintage rose! Love those vintage roses (I wish Stampin’ Up! would bring them back). 🙂
Did you notice the top of the jar? I cut a piece of the quatrefancy designer paper using the 2 1/2 inch circle punch. This particular paper is like a decorated piece of transparency paper with a white mosaic type of design! Fit perfect in the lid of the jar!
For the body of the jar, I decided to cut out a piece of designer paper with one of the apothecary accent framelits. Of course I had to use the Oh Hello stamp set…again! 🙂 Love that set! The little elegant butterfly was actually stamped on some retired paper…you get a great little effect when you stamp over the top of designer paper! Oh…and don’t forget to add the little paper doily! Now you are ready to fill your jar with a bunch of goodies!
