Postage Due

Postage due is one of my favorite stamp sets so I was extremely excited to see it carry over into this year’s new Stampin’ Up! catalog!  I am a vintage girl and something about this set just brings out the vintage in me! 🙂 I love the “This & That” product suite because the designer papers have that worn, vintage look to them. With that in mind, I chose a piece of This & That designer paper which I could use to stamp on!  I cut a piece of the DSP at 4 x 4 inches…since DSP comes in 12 x 12 sheets, I like to cut the paper to sizes where there will be very little waste.  Cutting a 12 x 12 sheet of paper down to 4 x 4’s means that I can get 12 ~ 4 x 4 pieces (and no waste). 🙂

So, using the 4 x 4 inch piece of DSP, I stamped the large postage due image, in soft suede, onto the DSP. And…because I love the new washi tape, I added a piece across the bottom of my stamped DSP.  Then, using the other 3 postage images, I stamped them in different colors:  Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Calypso Coral (which are all of the colors found in the “This & That” DSP!  Once you have the images stamped, simply punch them out with the postage punch!  I adhered them to the left side of my card using dimensionals…but before you do that…wrap a bit of linen thread around the card and tie a cute little bow!  Then pick out a sentiment and stamp it in Early Espresso or Soft Suede on the bottom right hand side of the card!  Voila…you have just made a quick and easy card to send to that special someone!
