Birthday Gift Card Holder

This was such a fun card to make! I actually received a a gift card holder swap, similar to this one, at the 2012 Stampin’ Up! convention…so I have been wanting to put one together for awhile!

To cut out the gift card holder….start with a piece of daffodil delight cardstock cut to 6 x 11 inches. Score the 11 inch side at 3 1/2, 5 1/2 and 7 1/2 inches. Fold it in half (along the 5 1/2 inch score line)…then fold the other two score lines in the opposite direction so that they cover up the 5 1/2 inch fold.  I know…you want a video on this! 🙂  Once you have everything folded, you run it through the big shot, using the top note die. Make sure to keep the card in the folded position when you send it through the big shot.

The gift card holder is cut along the 5 1/2 inch fold line….simply use your window punch and punch along the fold until you have a spot big enough to fit a gift card!  You can embellish this gift card holder any way you like!  I chose to use the Create-A-Cupcake stamp set.  Ok…now I know I need to put together a video because I am confusing myself just reading my instructions!  Watch for a video some time in July!  I must go prepare for a big craft show and, of course, for the Stampin’ Up! convention which I will be attending mid-July!
