Wildflower Meadows

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Monday!  I have been busy playing around with all of my new catalog products this past weekend so I have some great projects and designs to share with you over this next month! I thought I would start this week off with a beautiful card that I designed with the Wildflower Meadows bundle!  The bundle of products includes the Wildflower Meadows stamp and embossing folder!  Love it!

So, let’s talk about how to make this beautiful card! It’s actually very simple! I know…I always say that…but it’s true! I used 3 different cardstock colors to create this card:  Crumb cake for the base of the card, blushing bride cut to 5 1/4 x 4 inches for the matting, and a piece of 5 x 3 3/4 inch whisper white cardstock for the stamping! I started by stamping the Wildflower Meadows, in crumb cake ink, on the piece of whisper white cardstock. Once the image was stamped, I used the awesome little wildflower meadows embossing folder over the image. This embossing folder was designed specifically for this stamp set! By embossing the image, it gives your flowers a 3-D look…plus it makes it easier to sponge color over the images!  🙂

Of course I had to use some of the new colors on this project!  The sponging was done using Daffodi Delight, Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Pistachio Pudding classic ink!  I inked up those little dabbers to do the sponging…they work great when you need a bit of precision in your sponging.  Then, for the finishing touches on this card…I cut out a piece of blushing bride cardstock (1 x 3 inches), stamped one of the “Happy Day” sentiments on it, and embellished it with pearls.  Loved creating this!
