Water Bottle Decor

We had such a blast at my New Catalog Open House and Stamp Sale yesterday!  I made a variety of treat bags and goodies for the ladies…which they absolutely loved!!!  I wanted to do something fun and different for this event…so…I decided to start by decorating the water bottles that I was offering to my guests!

It is actually a very quick and easy party idea that makes a beautiful display for your table!  I started with a piece of calypso coral cardstock cut at 2 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches long…score the 8 1/2 inch side at 2 inches. Using a circle punch (size is based on the water bottle that you are covering), punch a hole in the top of the 2 inch scored section…this is how the decor will hang on your bottle. Cut a “flag” like pennant shape on the bottom of the cardstock (as seen in this photo).  Next, simply use your favorite sentiment stamp set (in this case I used Feel Goods) and stamp in Midnight Muse ink. Tape a paper doily behind the top part of the cardstock, under the fold, to serve as an accent…just a little bit will show on each side.

I cut out a piece of designer paper with one of the labels framelits and taped it to the top of the pennant…centered in the paper doily. Now don’t tell anybody that I used up some of my retired designer paper for that accent! I had to…I haven’t received the new stuff yet!  Haha!  Anyways, then I just stamped one of the Mixed Bunch flowers and embellished it with the awesome new Very Vintage buttons, some cute clips and a bit of midnight muse satin ribbon!  This was one of my favorite little projects!  I hope you enjoy it too!
