Don’t you just love pastel colors? They always look so soft and elegant! I have been designing a variety of cards this month that focus on retiring products. This stamp set, called Bordering on Romance, is retiring at the end of May. I haven’t even had a chance to use this one much so I decided I better start creating with it!
For this card, I began by stamping the flowers in crumb cake…which is also the color of the cardstock I used for the apothecary design in the background. Once I stamped the flower image, I sponged some certainly celery and pink piroutte ink lightly over the image. The sentiment used on this card comes from the Curly Cute stamp set…also retiring. 🙁 Of course no card is complete without a bit of embossing! So…I embossed the bottom of the card with the needlepoint border and the apothecary accent with the lacy brocade folder. I highly recommend that you stamp your sentiment on the bottom of the card BEFORE you emboss as it makes things a lot easier to line up! Then just simply embellish the card with a few rhinestones and a paper doily! Voila!!
