Wacky Wishes

So as you may have guessed, the theme for my card classes this month is “retiring” products!  This means I used products such as paper, stamps and embellishments that will no longer be available after May 31st! Many of these products have been discounted between 25-60% off so get ’em here while you can!

For this card I decided to use some of the designer paper and the Wacky Wishes stamp set that will be retiring! Each year, Stampin’ Up! retires almost all of their designer series paper so if there is anything that you absolutely love, now is the time to get it!  The designer series paper (DSP) used on this card is from the International Bazaar collection in the 2012-2013 annual catalog.  I cut a 4 1/4 x 3 inch piece of the DSP to serve as the backdrop for the card. Using one of the itty bitty shapes punches, I punched out a few different colored designs and secured them to the DSP. The scalloped trim was fashioned from a framelit using piece of indigo island blue cardstock.  Just below the scalloped trim you may notice some embossing which came from the needlepoint border embossing folder.  Then finish off the card by stamping your sentiments and adding a bit of baker’s twine! It makes a great card for men!
