Artisan Embellishment Kit ~ All Dressed Up

This is the sixth item in my Artisan Embellishment Kit series!  I combined the elegance of the artisan embellishments with the All Dressed Up framelits to design this vintage style framed art. This particular project required a bit more lace and trim from the kit than the other projects so if you are recreating the projects in this series you may want to put this together first!  That way you know you will have enough ribbon and trim for the dress!  

I began this project with a 4 x 6 inch piece of basic gray cardstock embossed with the Lacy Barocade embossing folder. The dress is made from a piece of very vanilla cardstock cut out with one of the all dressed up framelits and embossed with the polka dots embossing folder. Once the dress was cut and embossed, I simply cut a few pieces of the lacy ribbon and trim from the artisan embellishment kit and secured them to the bottom part of the dress. The embellishments on the top part of the frame are all from the artisan kit. I cut a paper doily in half and then half again to obtain the “draped” look on the top of this frame. Then I embellished the top of the frame with the seam binding ribbon, a bit of lace and a flower…all from the kit! My mother is a huge fan of vintage decor so I am pretty sure she will enjoy this gift for Mother’s Day. 🙂
