Artisan Embellishment Kit ~ Vintage Thank You Card

Remember the card I posted yesterday? Well, today’s Artisan Embellishment Kit project was designed with the leftover scrap materials from yesterday’s project. 🙂  I admit it…I am just a hoarder when it comes to scraps but that is because I can find a use for just about any size scrap material that I have!  My downfall is that I don’t really have a good organization system for my scraps so I tend to forget about them.  All of my scraps are sorted by color groups (all of the shades of blue are together, reds are together, etc.) in a large accordion file folder but it’s not really too easy to find what I need. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated!

Anyways, let’s get back to talking about this card. The beautiful apothecary accent in the center of this card was cut out from the center of the specialty designer paper used on yesterday’s card (just scroll down my website to take a peek at yesterday’s card).  The apothecary accent serves as the backdrop for the sentiment and scrappy decor that I added.  I actually only had a small piece of lacy trim left over from the Artisan Embellishment kit…I cut it in half and used one piece for this card and one for yesterday’s card. Then I embellished the card with a few pieces of scrap designer paper.  I also did a bit of paper piercing, with a template, around the big apothecary accent which gives the card a bit more dimension.

I hope you are enjoying the Artisan Embellishment Kit series thus far…stayed tuned as there are many more projects to be showcased yet!
