Artisan Embellishment Kit ~ Vintage Hello Card

This is one of my favorite card designs…I love the colors, the roses and the butterfly! And…it only has a very small piece of material from the Artisan Embellishment kit!  I love the white lacy trim that comes in the kit (this is the trim that highlights the “Hello” sentiment on this card). Speaking of the “Hello” sentiment, it is from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set found in the annual catalog.

So, I bet you are wondering how to make this card?  Well let me tell you a bit about it!  I started with a piece of pink piroutte cardstock as the base of the card then I embossed the lower edge of the card with the really cool little textured impressions embossing folder from the needlepoint collection (spring catalog).  Next, I wanted to design some type of frame for the card so that I could show off the Tea for Two designer paper.  I decided to use one of the framelits from the Apothecary Accents collection…I took a 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of natural composition specialty designer paper and cut out the center with the apothecary design. I mounted a 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Tea for Two designer paper on the pink card base.  I used a few dimensionals to mount the naturals specialty paper over the top of the Tea for Two (roses) paper. This gives the frame for the roses some dimension! Then I simply embellished it with a butterfly, pearls and the “hello” sentiment!
