Butterflies are one of my favorite embellishments! This beauty was designed by Diane Vandergalien and shared with us at our last demonstrator meeting! I loved the design so much that I shared it with the ladies at my last card class!
The design is just so unique…the base of the card is a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch piece of rich razzelberry cardstock. The pool party cardstock is cut to 4 x 10 1/2 (score and fold the 10 1/2 inch side at 5 1/4) and mount it to the rich razzelberry piece. Very clever! Before mounting the pool party cardstock, be sure to emboss it with the elegant bouquet embossing folder. The elegant butterfly punch is used on the lower right hand side of the card…simply punch out the butterfly design. We stamped some of the papillon potpourri butterflies onto scrap rich razzelberry pieces before punching them out. Of course no butterfly is complete without the smaller butterfly layered ontop! Simply punch out a few bitty butterflies and adhere them to the larger butterflies with dimensionals. And don’t forget the bling!!
