Wedding Card ~ Monochromatic

I finally gave in to the peer pressure and purchased the “All Dressed Up” stamp and framelit bundle! My peers really twisted my arm…Haha!! I was very excited to start using this bundle especially since I have seen so many awesome projects on pinterest and facebook! I decided my first project with this new bundle was going to be wedding related…mainly because I need a wedding card within the next month or so!! 🙂

I wanted the card to be monochromatic and very formal which is why I chose to use only black and white.  The all dressed up framelits are so versatile!  I was able to cut out multiple layers, in varying sizes, to put together the wedding dress on this card.  The dress is embossed with the polka dots and delicate designs embossing folders….I added a bit of whisper white taffeta ribbon, some itty bitty flowers and pearls. I mounted the dress onto a piece of whisper white cardstock embossed with the elegant lines embossing folder…one of my favorite designs for weddings! I stamped the “congratulations” sentiment in black Stazon ink.  I highly recommend stazon ink for stamping on white cardstock…it dries quickly with no smudging.

My husband thought the card was “too blah.”  What are your thoughts?

  1. I think it is just fine the way it is. You have put bling on in the pearls. If you add anything else it will detract from the card itself. 🙂
