Isn’t this just the cutest little easter basket?!? It was soooooo much fun to make! Follow these instructions to make a few baskets for the little ones in your life:
You start with your favorite easter colored designer paper…for this project, I choose the Tea for Two paper because of the great pastel colors! I cut a 5 1/2 x 12 inch piece of designer paper, placed it on the Fancy Favor Bigz XL die and ran it through the big shot embossing machine. These dies are awesome because they cut and score the paper which means all you need to do is fold on all of the score lines and then tape the box together! Simple, hey? I added a bit of delicate details lace tape to the front of the basket and embellished with a cute little easter sentiment.
The little chickadees are made from one of the smaller oval framelits. I cut 2 ovals out of So Saffron cardstock and then embossed them with the polka dot embossing folder. To make the wings, use the 1 1/2 inch scalloped punch and cut in between every third scallop…cut on an angle to give the wing a triangular look opposite the 3 scallops. Then just sponge a bit of tangerine tango on the ovals and the wings. For the beak, simply cut a small 1/2 x 1/2 in square, fold from point to point and secure. Then add some little googly eyes. Just adorable! 🙂
