I am super excited about how this Easter card turned out! I wanted to design an elegant Easter card to compliment the beauty and elegance of my new Easter Blessings stamp…I was immediately drawn to the stippled blossoms stamp set because of the elegant flowers. What a perfect combo! Initially I was planning on designing one of those awesome triple layer cards until I realized that it might be a bit too busy stamping these large images all over the card. It was then that it hit me…go with a smaller scale triple layer card!
So…to make the smaller version of a triple layer card I punched out 3 whisper white 1 inch squares and lightly secured them on the top of a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of whisper white card stock. I say “lightly secured” because once you stamp the flower and leaf images over the top of these 1″ pieces, you need to remove them and mount them on a piece of 1 1/4 inch pink cardstock. After that is complete, then simply line up the mounted images with the images that remain on the 5 x 3 3/4” piece of cardstock and secure. Simple way to obtain the beautiful 3D look of the flowers! Then just embellish with pearls!
I think I might send out several Easter cards this year! I just love this!
