The eighth card in my birthday series is a masculine card! The ladies at my card classes have been asking me to design a variety of masculine cards.…so…here is one of three that I will showcase in my birthday card series this month!
This card uses my favorite masculine stamp sets: The Open Sea and the Woodgrain stamp! I began by stamping a piece of crumb cake cardstock with the woodgrain stamp. I actually used crumb cake ink on the crumb cake cardstock to provide a subtle woodgrain background. The tag is just a piece of very vanilla cardstock cut to 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches. To create the tag look, simply snip off two edges of the cardstock and add a small circle to the top of the tag and a little bit of linen thread. I used the 3/8″ circle punch I randomly stamped the Open Sea images onto the tag in various colors such as Summer Startfruit, Midnight Muse, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. I also wanted the tag to have a little bit of a rustic look so…I roughed up the edges with a distressing tool.
Fun card to make!
Thanks Jena! Masculine card ideas do not come to me as easily as the girlie ones 🙂
I really love this card! You always have such great ideas!
Thanks, my faithful follower! 🙂
Manly Yes! But I like it too!
