Love Love Love this project from the 2012 Stampin’ Up! convention!!! I had the opportunity to take a few classes while I was at the convention ~ this project is from the “I am inspired” class! We learned a variety of techniques and went home with a ton of Stampin’ Up! materials from this class! I actually changed up this pin board a bit from the instructions that were provided.
I just love the designer fabric! I used a very small piece of the Daffodil Delight Chevron pattern as the background for this project (they provided us with the entire series of Essentials Designer Fabric…10 different extra wide-fat quarters….WAHOO!…I only used a small section of one extra wide fat quarter for this project). We padded the material so that we are able to pin various items to the board; then I just hot glued the material down to chipboard.
Once I assembled the frame, I put together the banner. We used the Gossamer Lace stamp and versa mark to give the butterflies and banner pieces a subtle lacy look. The elegant butterfly punch is the best! I was really excited with how this turned out! I think I will use this concept to put together a Baby Boy pin board for my first grandchild due in November.
