So this is now one of my favorite techniques….the baby wipe technique! I learned this technique from my second level upline Lyssa. 🙂 She made some beautiful cards for one of our monthly demonstrator meetings using this technique. I knew I had to try it once I saw the World Treasures stamp set in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog.
Basically the baby wipe technique works like this…open up a baby wipe onto a paper/styrofoam plate. Randoming drop different colors of ink (using the re-inkers) onto the baby wipe. Once you have the desired “tie dye” look, then ink up your favorite stamp and stamp away! This technique gave the peacock image such a beautiful array of colors in the feathers. I also embossed the top of the cards with the new Delicate Designs embossing folders and finished it off with a sentiment from the Blessings From Heaven stamp set.
I had the ladies put this card together at our June card class and I also used this as my swap for our demonstrator meeting!
Hello Lynn,
