Adoring Arrows

Hello Stampin Friends!  Hope you are having a great start to your weekend!  Today I want to share a few little projects that I created with the stamp set in the January Paper Pumpkin kit!  If you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly subscription program for crafters!  Each month you receive a fun little crafting kit sent right to your home! The kit contains everything you need to create the projects for the month. And, this month, the kit focused on Valentine’s Day. It contained all of the materials, stamps and ink you needed to create 24 adorable little treat bags just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Aren’t these adorable?  I made up a few of these as gifts for my attendees at class this week. I plan on making up the rest of them this weekend with my grandson.  He will have a blast filling these up with candy! Now you can use the materials in the kit to create other projects too!  I like to show my Paper Pumpkin subscribers a few different things that they can do with the kit materials and the stamps.  This month I decided to create some fun little cards with the stamp set that came in the kit.

Now the kit came with the calypso coral ink and the stamp set. I simply used some of my own cardstock and embellishments to create these three quick and simple cards! I love that I can use the stamp set over and over to create all sorts of fun things!  And the stamp sets are exclusive to the paper pumpkin kits so you can’t get them anywhere else!  Now is the best time to get started with paper pumpkin as there is a Sale-a-bration special!  The 3-month pre-paid subscription is only $55 (regular price is $59.00)!  This discounted price is good until March 31, 2017 plus when you order a 3-month prepaid subscription, you get to choose a Sale-a-bration catalog item for FREE!

Delicate Details Lace

Hello Stampin Friends! Today I have another fun “love themed” project to share and a great way to use your photopolymer stamps.  This particular project showcases the Delicate Details stamp set which is one of the FREE products you can choose, with a qualifying order, during Sale-a-bration.  Since I really love all things lacy and girlie, the Delicate Details stamp set was the first item on my Sale-a-bration list!  There are so many fun things that you can do with it!

This card was super simple to create! To make this card, start with a piece of basic black cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Grab your favorite ink color…in this case I used Real Red since I was busy making Valentine’s all week. However, you can use any color you prefer. And you can also use this design to create cards for just about any occasion, just change out the sentiment!

So you might have noticed that the Delicate Details stamp set has 5 different stamp images. Now you can stamp each image individually on your card or…you can stamp them all at once (which is the method I prefer). Simply lay all of the stamp images on your crafting table. Arrange them in any order that you prefer but be sure the flat surface is facing upwards and the image is facing downwards (on your table). I arranged them as close together as possible. Once you have the layout you like, take a large clear acrylic block and press it down onto all of the photopolymer stamps. When you pick up the block, your stamps will be neatly arranged and ready for stamping!  I love this little trick because the images will be identical no matter how many times I stamp them!

Lay the block down, as shown, and ink up the images with your preferred color. Practice stamping the images on a scrap piece of paper to ensure they appear the way you would like them to. If not, simply re-adjust them and practice again. When you are ready, take the white cardstock you cut earlier, ink up the images, and stamp them on the top of the cardstock, then re-ink the images and stamp them on the bottom of the cardstock. Leave a little space in the middle to stamp a sentiment!  For the finishing touch, embellish with some rhinestones and silver glimmer hearts! Enjoy!

You Plus Me

Valentine gift set you and meSince Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, I will be sharing a variety of projects with you throughout the course of this week to help you get prepared!  They are fun little cards and treats that you can give to that special someone. Or…make them all and give them to all of the special people in your life.  So let’s look at today’s project…a very elegant card and coordinating treat box.

Let’s start with the materials you will need for the card. Start with a piece of basic black for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white card stock. Punch out a few hearts in the top of this piece. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of the gold embossed vellum (the piece with the hearts on it). Place the vellum in the center of your card and adhere it by running some of the Stack with Love washi tape across the top and bottom of the vellum. This is a great way to adhere vellum since adhesive typically shows through the vellum. Grab some of your favorite red ribbon and tie a little bow around the center of the vellum as shown. Stamp the You & Me image, using real red ink, on a scrap piece of white paper. Punch out the image using the 1 3/4 inch circle punch, then matte out this piece with a black 2 inch circle….secure it with dimensionals in the center of your card, over the top of the ribbon. That’s it!  I would add a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock to the inside of the card too (that way you can write a special message to the recipient).

For the treat box, simply tie a bit of your red ribbon around the lid of the box. Add a bit of the Stacked with Love washi tape to the front of the box and trim up the ends. Using a heart punch or framelits, cut out a red heart. The heart needs to be no bigger than 2 inches (since the treat box is 2 x 2).  For the arrow, simply use the “What’s up” punch with a piece of black scrap paper. Secure these pieces to the front of the box and fill it with your favorite candy! Enjoy!

Hello Life ~ Valentine

clean and simple valentine cardGosh, I can’t believe that it is February already! Time seems to fly by so quickly, doesn’t it? Of course, since it’s February, that means that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  Chocolates, flowers, and cards are just a few of the ways that we show that special someone how much they mean to us! So today, I have a great card design to share with all of you! A simple, yet elegant, card that you can make for your special someone!

To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. Stamp your favorite “love” sentiment on the bottom of the card front. I used the beautiful “love” sentiment from the Hello Life photopolymer stamp set.

026Next, you will emboss the front flap of the card with the polka dot embossing folder. Note: if you turn your embossing folder to the side, you can slide in the front flap of the card and emboss it without embossing over the sentiment (see picture for embossing folder placement). Once you have embossed the card, simply add a few hearts using one of the punches in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. That’s it! Simple, hey? Enjoy!

You & Me

you and me valentineHappy Wednesday!  Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  Today I have another Valentine’s project to share with you! This particular project showcases a fun new product bundle: You & Me stamp set and the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper pack. I love the product bundles in the new catalog because we receive a 15% discount when purchasing these products together! How awesome is that? So let’s take a closer look at this project…

To make this project, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of basic black cardstock for matting the project. Find the “&” symbol from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Pack and cut it down to 3 3/4 inches tall and then trim off the sides as close to the “&” symbol as you can. That will leave a little gap on the right side of the project for you to secure a red heart accent piece. For the finishing touches, stamp the “you & me” sentiment on a scrap piece of paper in real red ink. Cut out the “you” and “me” by hand and secure it to the card as shown. Embellish with a little silver glimmer heart. Enjoy!
