Sending Love

Hello Stampin Friends! This week I have more “love-themed” cards to share. After all, Valentine’s Day is one week from tomorrow! Are you ready? Well if you are still looking for some fun cards ideas then be sure to follow along this week!  Today’s project showcases the Sealed with Love bundle and is one of my favorite Valentine’s Day projects!  I just love all of the fun little shapes you can create with the Love Notes Framelit set.

To make this card, start with a piece of Real Red cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of Basic Black cardstock and adhere it to the front of your card. Cut a 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Take the heart shaped edgelit, from the Love Notes Die set, and cut the heart shapes into the right side of the white cardstock using your Big Shot or other embossing machine.  Cut a 3-1/2 x 4 inch piece of one of the heart shaped patterned papers from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper pack and adhere it to the white cardstock as shown. Cut a piece of 3/8″ silver metallic ribbon and run it along the edge of the DSP as shown. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around to the back of the white cardstock and adhere the entire piece to the card front. Stamp the “Hello Love” sentiment on a piece of scrap cardstock and cut it out with a circle die or punch. Note:  I used the Stitched Framelits but you can use any circles or shapes that you have on hand. Next, cut a slightly larger circle (2 inches) out of a piece of silver glimmer paper. Adhere the 2 circles together and then adhere to the card front with a few dimensionals. For the finishing touch, cut out a few hearts and a little arrow to tuck around the circles and embellish with some silver metallic enamel shapes. Enjoy!

Hello Love

Hello Stampin’ Friends!  Since Valentine’s Day is less than a month away, I thought I would share several different “love themed” cards with all of you over the next week or so to help you get prepared! It will be a mini-blog series focused on “Love.” The cards can be used for Valentine’s Day, Weddings, Anniversaries or any other special occasion in which you want to spread the love!  Today’s project showcases a fun way to use the Sealed with Love Bundle of products.

To make this card, start with a piece of Real Red cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 3-1/2 x 3-12 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Using the heart edgelit (from the Love Notes Framelit Die set) cut out the right side of the cardstock. Then grab the Sealed with Love stamp set and stamp your sentiment and the fancy scroll image in black ink and the hearts in Real Red ink.  Cut a 3/4 x 3-1/2 inch piece of basic black cardstock and adhere it slightly behind the left side of the whisper white cardstock, as shown. Be sure to allow around 1/2 inch of the black cardstock showing. Tuck a lace doily under the black cardstock, as shown, and adhere everything to the Real Red card front.  For the finishing touch, embellish with a little Sending Love heart embellishment. Enjoy!

Spray of Hearts

Hello Stampin’ Friends!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  I have been busy creating a variety of different “love themed” cards that can be used for Valentine’s Day or any other celebration of love. Today’s project was inspired by some stamped images that I had right in front of me on my grid paper. I use a piece of grid paper while I am stamping so that I can practice stamping my images before I put them to a project. I also use grid paper to make sure I don’t get any ink on my craft table. 🙂  Since I was making Valentine’s Day cards, I had a lot of heart images randomly stamped on this paper. That’s when the idea for this card hit me! And I learned that sometimes inspiration is right there in front of me!

To make this card, start with a piece of Pool Party cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Find a small heart shaped image; I used the image found in the Sealed with Love stamp set. Start in the upper left hand corner of the white cardstock and, using Pool Party ink, randomly stamp the image diagonally across the card. Use the “stamp off” technique which means you stamp the image and then stamp it again without re-inking. Then switch colors and repeat the stamping process. I used Real Red ink for the second color. Once you have a “spray” of hearts across your card, use the small splatter image, from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, to add some silver embossed speckles. Simply ink up the splatter image with some Versa Mark and stamp the image over the hearts, sprinkle with silver embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat to set. For the finishing touch, emboss a little sentiment on a scrap piece of pool party cardstock, and adhere to the card with a few dimensionals! Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Gift Box

Hello Stampin’ Friends!  Did you enjoy the Sealed with Love Valentine’s Day card I shared with you the other day?  Well today I have a fun little Valentine’s Day Gift box idea to share. It showcases another great use for the Sending Love Suite of products but it also incorporates a fun new Window Box Thinlit Die.  It’s a great way to create a coordinating gift box and card this Valentine’s Day!

The new Window Box Thinlit Die set has everything you need to create this adorable little gift box…plus a whole lot more! The die actually cuts and scores the box which makes it super simple to put together!  Simply use the large image to cut out the pieces for the box. You will need to cut two (2) large images.  Fold each of these pieces on all of the score lines.  The thinlit die cuts out little “tabs” for you to assemble the box.  Simply apply some adhesive to the tabs and secure all of the pieces together. I used the double sided Tear & Tape as my adhesive because it is a bit stronger and will hold the box together better than SNAIL adhesive. Be sure to leave the top flap for the box free of adhesive, this will allow you to open and close the box.  That’s important if you want to put something in it! Then just decorate the box with some of the fun products from the Sending Love Suite! In other words, embellish as desired!

The little gift box pairs up nicely with the Sealed with Love Valentine’s Day card idea I shared with you the other day!  For more information on how to create the card, follow this link http://wp.me/p6fPxx-1BE
