Daisy Delight

Good Morning and Happy Mother’s Day! I hope that all of you are spending the day celebrating the Moms in your life! We are having our second annual Mother’s Day brunch today!  We started this last year because we decided it’s much more fun and relaxing to be at home with the family than it is to be out at a restaurant for Mother’s Day! Plus homemade food is the best!  I am celebrating with my son, daughter and their families as well as my parents. It will be a fun and yummy afternoon!

Plus, I put together a few of these little Mother’s Day baskets for the celebration today!  You may recall a little video tutorial on this basket that I shared with you around Easter time. Here is the link to the tutorial http://stamptasticdesigns.com/2017/03/23/envelope-punch-board-baskets/

Well, as you can see, the basket works well with Mother’s Day too!  Especially with some NEW Stampin’ Up! products!  Yep, the Daisies are new and they are so fun!  You can use them in so many ways!  My next project will be to create a bouquet of them! I have seen some wonderful projects on Pinterest with bouquets of these Daisies. They are absolutely stunning! And products from the Daisy Suite will be available June 1st!

I hope all of you have a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration! Enjoy the day with family and friends!

Timeless Elegance for Mom

2016 April PP Additional Project 2Good Morning!  Mother’ Day is fast approaching!  Are you ready?  I have been working on a few different cards for the mom’s in my life. This particular project was inspired by the stamp set I received in last month’s paper pumpkin kit. I simply added some of my own supplies to create an elegant little card for Mom.

To make this project, start with a piece of whisper white card stock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of one of the Timeless Elegance patterned in the Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. And…in case I didn’t mention it…this paper is retiring at the end of May so don’t wait too long to get it!

Adhere the DSP to your card front. Add a little white paper doily and layer a silver one on top. Cut a piece of black card stock that measures approximately 2 x 3 1/2 inches. You can use any one of the fun tag topper punches to create the top of the tag. Stamp a little Mother’s Day sentiment on the tag using white craft ink (you can also emboss your sentiment in white). Then embellish with a bit of your favorite ribbons and a little pearl. Enjoy!

A Mother’s Love

Mother’s Day is right around the corner! If you are looking for a beautiful Mother’s Day stamp set then check out a Mother’s Love. There are some fun images in this set. Plus, it involves two-step stamping which is a fun little technique. Today’s projects showcase a few of the images in this set so let’s take a look…mothers love gift setCard:  Start with a piece of blushing bride cardstock for the base of your card. Simply cut an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock in half. Your card will measure 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches when closed.  Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the beautiful flowery paper from the Something Borrowed collection. Secure this piece to your card base. Stamp one of the flowery images from the Mother’s Love set onto a 3 x 3 inch piece of whisper white cardstock….use sahara sand or smoky slate ink. Grab the coordinating stamp…the “fill in” stamp…ink it up with blushing bride and stamp the overlay onto the first image.  This second image will color in your flower. Punch out the image using the 2 1/2 inch circle punch and leave enough room to stamp a little sentiment. You can also do a bit of paper piercing around the circle if you like. Secure a paper doily in the center of your card. Add the circle to the doily with a few dimensionals. For the finishing touch, add a few roses from the Artisan Embellishment kit or just simply leave it as is!

Tag: Start with a 2 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Punch the top using the scalloped tag topper. Stamp the same image on the tag that you used on your card.  Stamp one of the sentiments using blushing bride ink. Add a bit of chevron ribbon to the top of the tag and a little flower trim. Now you have a coordinating card and gift tag…all you need is the gift! Enjoy!
