Daisy Delight

Good Morning and Happy Mother’s Day! I hope that all of you are spending the day celebrating the Moms in your life! We are having our second annual Mother’s Day brunch today!  We started this last year because we decided it’s much more fun and relaxing to be at home with the family than it is to be out at a restaurant for Mother’s Day! Plus homemade food is the best!  I am celebrating with my son, daughter and their families as well as my parents. It will be a fun and yummy afternoon!

Plus, I put together a few of these little Mother’s Day baskets for the celebration today!  You may recall a little video tutorial on this basket that I shared with you around Easter time. Here is the link to the tutorial http://stamptasticdesigns.com/2017/03/23/envelope-punch-board-baskets/

Well, as you can see, the basket works well with Mother’s Day too!  Especially with some NEW Stampin’ Up! products!  Yep, the Daisies are new and they are so fun!  You can use them in so many ways!  My next project will be to create a bouquet of them! I have seen some wonderful projects on Pinterest with bouquets of these Daisies. They are absolutely stunning! And products from the Daisy Suite will be available June 1st!

I hope all of you have a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration! Enjoy the day with family and friends!

Basket Bunch

Hello Stampin’ Friends! Today I have an adorable little Easter project to share with all of you!  It showcases the Basket Bunch bundle and those fun mini egg cartons!  The mini egg cartons were so popular that Stampin’ Up! sold out all of their inventory within weeks of it’s launch!  The good news is that they came back this week!  Wahoo!  Just in time for Easter! But they can be used for more that just Easter.  You can decorate them for Spring too!

The mini egg carton is so fun to decorate!  You can really decorate it any way you want!  I decided to coordinate the colors and design with the Easter card that I was making.  Start by cutting a 4 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper for the top of the mini egg carton. I rounded the edges to match the rounded edges on the egg carton. Cut a little 2 x3 inch piece of whisper white cardstock for the tag. Use one of the tag toppers to fancy up the top. Then use the fun little images and die cuts in the Basket Bunch bundle to decorate it! Fun! 🙂

To make this card, start with a piece of Tip Top Taupe for the base of the card.  Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of your favorite pretty patterned paper. I love the little flower pattern on the In Color Designer Series Paper pack…it was the perfect background for the card and egg carton because it’s green…like grass! Stamp a little sentiment on the bottom of the white cardstock. Stamp the little grass image across the bottom of the card but just above the sentiment. Use cucumber crush ink or a green ink that coordinates with the patterned paper that you are using. Adhere the patterned paper and white cardstock to the front of your card as shown; tuck a little piece of a doily in there.  For the finishing touch, use the fun little images and die cuts in the Basket Bunch bundle to decorate it!  Enjoy!
