MDS ~ Hoppy Day

Today I realized that I haven’t posted any MDS spreads in awhile!  Well, since my grandson had his first zoo experience this past weekend, I thought I would take the opportunity to put together a few digital scrapbook pages.

Now I probably shouldn’t say I “put together” these pages because they are MDS templates!  I did put the pictures in them though 🙂

If you haven’t tried My Digital Studio (MDS) yet, you are missing out on the easiest way to scrapbook your favorite memories!  You can literally drag and drop your photos into templates or design your own spreads! You can trial this program for FREE!  Check it out at http://bit.ly/1ayg9Ss

Celebrate Maui Style

My daughter made this beautiful scrapbook page for my husband and I as a remembrance of our anniversary trip to Maui this past February 2013!  I absolutely loved it! Yes…I said LOVED…unfortunately, she decided to submit it to a Stampin’ Up! contest back in May!  She didn’t win…and now I wish she would have never sent it in (it doesn’t get returned to us). Well…at least I have a picture of it…it will make it easier for her to recreate it! lol

Storytime Scrapbook

Here is another one of my contest submissions!  I had so much fun putting together this adorable little scrapbook page of my grandson!  At the time I put together this page he was only 4 months old…and, he had just found his feet!  Now he is 8 months old and starting to walk!  I can’t believe it!

For this page, I started with a 12 x 12 piece of very vanilla cardstock.  I decided to use the cute little storytime or storybook designer paper that was in the previous catalog.  This designer paper has since retired so I can’t remember the name off hand! lol  I simply cut strips of the DSP in various sizes then snipped the ends to make them into pennants. I used the window framelits to matte and cut out the pictures of my grandson. Then I held everything together with some bakers twine. The stamp set is called Baby prints and, of course, I tend to use this one a lot with a new grandbaby! 🙂  It’s a good thing I have pictures of all of my contest submission…now I can recreate them for my daughter and her husband!

Wedding Scrapbook Page

Last June, my daughter married her best friend in a beautiful ceremony in the park.  I have an awesome son-in-law…couldn’t be more blessed! I took one of my favorite pictures from that day and put together a beautiful scrapbook page for her and her husband…this was also one of my submissions for a contest 🙂

I started with a 12 x 12 piece of basic black cardstock. I used the lacy trim and heart shaped paper doily from the, now retired, Artisan embellishment kit. I cut the silver glimmer paper by using the hearts framelits. The wedding cake was made simply by cutting different size rectangles from some whisper white cardstock.  Once the pieces were cut, I used the corner round punch and then embossed them with the elegant lines embossing folder.  I matted out their picture with their wedding colors, wisteria wonder and whisper white! For the final touches, I added a few brads, clips and flower trim.

Daring Adventure Scrapbook

In May 2013, I entered the Artisan Design Team contest through Stampin’ Up!  The contest is open to all demonstrators and involves the submission of 3 scrapbook pages, 5 cards and two 3-D projects. The perks for winning this contest are simply amazing!  Unfortunately, I didn’t win…but that means I can now share pics of all of the projects that I submitted!

So…let’s start with this adorable scrapbook page that I put together of my grandson and son-in-law! I snapped this pic at Thanksgiving when my grandson was only a few days old! Although many of these products have since retired, I enjoyed putting together this page. And…it’s on display here at the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Convention!  Wahoo!! 🙂
