Blooming with Kindness

This card was designed for an organized swap at the 2012 Stampin Up convention.  I love flowers!! This stamp set is one of my favorites from the new catalog.  For this card, I stamped the image in Marina Mist and then used the Elegant Eggplant marker to apply ink in a random fashion over the top of the marina mist. The designer series paper, Twitterpated, provides the back drop. Of course I also used the new fancy fan embossing folder on the green card stock. It was a hit at the swap! 🙂

Lacy & Lovely

I have been working on a variety of swaps for the big Stampin’ Up! convention in Utah! This card was designed for the “New Catalog” swap as each of us signed up to develop a swap using a stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up catalog.  I decided to use the Lacy & Lovely stamp set and the Floral District Designer Series paper for this swap.  I just love the colors in this card and can’t wait to share it with my convention swappers!

Vintage Swap Card

I am participating in a Vintage Swap at this year’s Stampin’ Up convention in July.  I love the look of vintage cards so this swap is perfect for me! Since Stampin’ Up retired my favorite vintage DSP (Beau Chateau) I knew I was going to be challenged to come up with something vintage using current catalog products. It took me awhile to come up with a design that I just loved…but I did it!!  For this card, I used a variety of Stampin’ Up products:

Comfort Cafe and First Edition DSP
Red Riding Hood, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Soft Suede cardstock
Established Elegance and Kindness matters stamp sets
Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon
Victoria Crochet Trim
Sponged Soft Suede on the DSP and the embossed cardstock
Vintage Trinkets
Antique Brads
Two Tags Big Shot Die
Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

International World Treasures

This card I designed as part of a demonstrator challenge for our June meeting. We were challenged to use the new catalog color “Gumball Green.”  I decided that I really wanted to use the World treasures stamp set which has a beautiful peacock stamp.  I stamped the peacock image onto the gumball green cardstock using Midnight Muse ink. The peacock feathers serve as the background for the scalloped circles image on this card.  The international bizarre designer series paper is just gorgeous with this design as it enhanced the peacock feathers. I embellished \this card with the new satin ribbon in gumball green.  Upon the advice of my second level upline, I am using this design for a swap I am participating in at the Stampin’ Up convention in July!  Thanks Lyssa!!

World Treasures

So this is now one of my favorite techniques….the baby wipe technique!  I learned this technique from my second level upline Lyssa. 🙂  She made some beautiful cards for one of our monthly demonstrator meetings using this technique. I knew I had to try it once I saw the World Treasures stamp set in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog.

Basically the baby wipe technique works like this…open up a baby wipe onto a paper/styrofoam plate. Randoming drop different colors of ink (using the re-inkers) onto the baby wipe.  Once you have the desired “tie dye” look, then ink up your favorite stamp and stamp away!   This technique gave the peacock image such a beautiful array of colors in the feathers. I also embossed the top of the cards with the new Delicate Designs embossing folders and finished it off with a sentiment from the Blessings From Heaven stamp set.

I had the ladies put this card together at our June card class and I also used this as my swap for our demonstrator meeting!
