In November, I had the opportunity to attend Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Utah! It’s always such a fabulous event! I had such a great time learning about all of the fun new products that are coming out in January playing with the some of those new products and, of course, swapping cards with my fellow demonstrators. This particular card is one of the fabulous swaps that I received. It was designed by Lawana Schroyer and I absolutely loved it! So much so that I already shared it with my team and, of course, I will be sharing it at one of my upcoming classes. Lawana’s card is slightly different in that she added some beautiful gold thread and used regular ink to color in the flowers. I actually used the new Stampin’ Blends to color in the flowers and leaves. Just a little tip…the light pumpkin pie Stampin’ Blend almost matches the Peekaboo Peach ink color in the annual catalog.
The card is easy to create which is part of what drew me to the design. Simplicity with a bit of elegance is always a great match especially when you are creating a lot of cards! I also love that you can use any color to shade in the flower. You can create a whole new look just by changing out the color of the flower and cardstock. Get creative with it! The dimensions for the cutting your cardstock are as follows: 5-1/4 x 4 inches for the Peekaboo Peach layer and 5 x 3-3/4 inches for the white layer. That’s it! Now you are ready to get to the stamping! Special thanks to Lawana for sharing her beautiful card with me!
