Have you seen the eclipse technique! It is the latest crafting craze on Pinterest! There are so many beautiful cards that have been created with this technique! I have made a few and just absolutely love it! As I was playing around with this technique, I decided to try something a little different. Instead of popping up the letters on the card, I decided to use them to create a different card! So I used the negative space on one card and the letters on a different one. They turned out awesome! Thank you to my team member, Tammy Wrobel, for the design idea with this stamp set!
The technique is very simple. Start with a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Stamp your images on the cardstock around the area that you plan to cut out the letters. In this case, I stamped the images starting around the middle of the cardstock, up towards to top. I stamped a little sentiment on the bottom. Note: I recommend you stamp your sentiment first to make sure that you have enough room for the other images and the letters. For this card, I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Soft Sky. Once I had all of the images stamped, I used the Large Letter Framelit dies to cut out the word NOEL. I saved the letters for the card showcased below but I used the negative space left from cutting out the letters to create the card. I simply adhered it to a card front created with Night of Navy cardstock. I love the look!
For this card, I started with Soft Sky cardstock for the base of the card. I embossed the front of the cardstock with the Winter Wonder Textured Embossed folder. Then, I simply adhered the letter across the snowflake and embellished with a few rhinestones. How cool is that?
