Handmade cards are a great way to let someone know that you are thinking about them. It’s a way to give someone a little piece of your heart as all handmade cards are created with love. Sending my cards brings me just as much happiness as I get when making them. It’s the little things we do that mean so much to our friends and family.
This particular card was actually inspired by a sample in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. As I was creating this card, I began to think of a few people that I want to send it to to let them know I’m thinking of them. The card showcasing the Weather Together stamp set and the coordinating Umbrella Weather thinlits. It’s a fun card to make and the thinlits make it easy to cut out all of the images. To make this card, start with a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock (or watercolor paper). I did a bit of watercoloring in the background with Soft Sky ink but you could also sponge a blue background as well. To create the images on the card, simple stamp them on scrap pieces of cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating thinlits. I used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky colors on this card. Once you have all of your images stamped and cut out, simply arrange them on your card front. That’s it! Enjoy!
