Artistically Asian

Hello Stampin’ Friends!  I have really enjoyed my vacation time this week!  I had an opportunity to spend time with my family and also find some time for myself. It has been quite relaxing and inspiring to have some creative time to myself this week.  Of course I had to play with some of the new products coming out on January 4th and I am super excited about that!  I also had an opportunity to play around with stamp sets from the annual catalog that I hadn’t used yet or hadn’t used in awhile.  This particular card was inspired by a project in the annual catalog and showcases the Artisically Asian stamp set.

To make this card, start with a piece of Peekaboo Peach cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Cut a 1/2 x 4 inch piece of black patterned designer paper and adhere it to the right side of the white cardstock as shown. Start by stamping the leafy image in the center of the cardstock using Pear Pizazz ink. Next, stamp the flower image, over the top of the leaf image, using Peekaboo Peach ink. Stamp one of the little symbol images, as shown, using black ink. Tear a piece of washi tape and adhere across the bottom of the stamped images.  Grab some baker’s twine, wrap it around your fingers a few times to make large loops, then adhere to the left side of the card using glue dots.  For the finishing touch, stamp a little sentiment on a piece of scrap white cardstock and make it into a banner, then adhere it over the baker’s twine with a few dimensionals. Enjoy!
