Can you believe the month of October is right around the corner? Geesh! Time just seems to fly by lately, doesn’t it? So I guess I better start sharing some fun little Halloween ideas with all of you! This adorable little project showcases a fun little stamp set and framelit bundle called Howl-o-ween! It’s a simple little project to make so let’s take a closer look.
Start with a little treat bag. You can pick up treat bags just about anywhere! I actually have tons of little white bags so I just used those 🙂 But Stampin’ Up! also carries some adorable little polka dot bags (see below). Once you have chosen a bag, run a few pieces of washi tape across the top of the bag, trim off the excess. I used up some retired washi tape but you can also use the new Happy Haunting Washi Tape. Gather up some scrap white cardstock. Stamp the owl image in black, the hat image in black berry bliss and the little pumpkin image in pumpkin pie ink. Grab the coordinating framelits and cut them all out with your big shot (or other embossing machine). Adhere all of the pieces together with a few glue dots. Once you have the witch owl assembled, add a few dimensionals to the back of the images and secure it to your bag as shown. Cut out a little “BOO” using basic black cardstock; adhere to the top of your bag with a few glue dots. For the finishing touch, add a little clip or clothes pin to the top of the bag to keep it closed. Enjoy!
