Today I have another project idea for you which showcases some of the pretty flowery images in the Garden in Bloom stamp set. For this particular project, I decided to use a little stamp and layering technique to give a little more dimension to the flowers. let’s take a closer look at how to make this card.
Start with a piece of old olive cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/2 x 3 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and a 2 x 3 1/2 inch piece. Punch out a scalloped tag top on the 2 inch side of the smaller white piece. Add a little adhesive to the back of the tag…just a smidge…and stick it down, on an angle, to the larger 5 1/2 x 3 inch piece. Next, stamp some of the fun flowery images onto the white cardstock (be sure to stamp a sentiment on the tag before you start stamping the flowery images). Overlap the images so they are half on the tag and half on the large white piece of cardstock. Once you have all of your images stamped, carefully peel up the tag. Add a little bit of glimmer paper for an accent and some ribbon to the top of the tag. Put a few dimensionals on the back of the tag and then realign the images so the ones on the tag match up with the ones on the large white piece of cardstock. Adhere the entire white piece to a 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch piece of wisteria wonder cardstock (which serves as a matte for the project) and then adhere to your old olive card base front. For the finishing touch, add a few bitty butterflies and embellish with rhinestones. Enjoy!
