Bohemian Washi Tape Card

bohemian washi tapeSo how much washi tape do you have lying around your craft area?  If you’re like me, you have lots! There are some really cute washi tape designs out there and I seem to feel the need to get them all! 🙂  So I have been busy play around with different ways to use washi tape. If you need quick and simple cards, this particular design is for you! It’s quick and simple plus it’s a great way to use up some of that washi tape you have on hand.

For this particular project, I started with a piece of white cardstock for the base of my card.  I recommend that you use white or a neutral color for your base, that way you can stamp your image right on the card base…that’s what helps make this card simple and quick to put tog002ether. Stamp a sentiment in the lower right hand corner of the white cardstock using ink that coordinates with your washi tape. In this case, I used blackberry bliss ink. Next, grab 3 different colors of washi tape and run them across the front of your card on a slight angle as shown in the pic. Tear off strips of the washi tape and let them hang over the card as shown in the pic on the right. You can leave a little space in between the strips of washi or layer them side by side. Once you have the washi tape on the card, simply snip off the excess with your scissors. That’s it, your done!  Enjoy!
