Something Borrowed

something borrowedToday I want to share a quick and simple project you can put together with the new blendabilities markers. Blendabilities are alcohol based markers that can be used for blending and shading your stamped images. But you can also use blendabilities in many other ways. This particular project showcases how to use blendabilities to add pops of color to your pretty patterned papers!  I love using blendabilties in this way. If you have ever tried to color in an image with regular water-based markers, then you know how choppy the coloring looks. With blendabilities, you are able to shade an image without distorting it.

To make this project, start with a piece of pink pirouette cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (DSP). Grab a set of the pink pirouette blendabilities and randomly shade some of the flowers on the DSP. Make sure that you have the DSP laying on top of a piece of scratch paper or grid paper as the blendabilities ink will soak through the DSP. Once you have completed the shading of the flowers, secure the DSP to your card base. Add a little layered tag or some type of punched shape to your project for the sentiment. Add a little embellishment and your done! Easy peasy! Enjoy!
