Kinda Eclectic

So you may recall that last month I had the privilege of attending the 2014 Stampin’ Up! convention in Salt Lake City, Utah.  It is my favorite stampin’ event! There is sooo much good stuff there! One of my favorite activities are the Make n Takes and this year was no exception! Loved the projects and stamp sets we received.  These projects were my favorite because we used the new Kinda Eclectic stamp set which has some simply gorgeous images!

Now the great thing about the make n takes at convention is that everything for the project comes pre-cut and packaged for you which makes it almost effortless to put them together. If you wanted to re-create these cards, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. The background on these cards comes from the beautiful images in the stamp set…simply grab your favorite colors and stamp away! But if you want to know the exact colors on this card…crumb cake, pear pizazz, crushed curry and tangerine tango. The little purplish designer series paper was cut to 4 x 1/2 inch and the “kindness” banner is a crumb cake piece cut to  3 1/2 x 1 inches.  Oh…and one more thing…that honeycomb background comes from sponging or brayering a bit of crumb cake ink on the honeycomb embossing folder. Lightly ink up portions of the raised side of the embossing folder, place your cardstock inside the folder and light press down.  It gives a very subtle touch to your background. Enjoy!
