Simple Something for Baby

Today I want to share another adorable baby card with all of you.  Baby cards are so cute and fun to design! There is an adorable little baby themed stamp set, with coordinating framelits, in the new catalog called Something for Baby. The set contains a variety of cute little baby items like booties, pins, onesies and many more. The coordinating framelits means you don’t have to cut anything out by hand! Love that!

To make this card, start with a piece of pistachio pudding cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp the baby pin images around the outside of the white cardstock as shown by alternating the following colors: soft sky, so saffron, pink pirouette and pistachio pudding. Once you have your images stamped on the card, emboss the cardstock with the polka dot embossing folder. Next, take a scrap piece of whisper white and stamp the little onesie image using crumb cake ink…use the stamp off technique. To stamp off, simply ink up the image with crumb cake, stamp it on a scrap piece of paper and then on your project paper…it will lighten the image. Cut out the onesie with the coordinating framelit and adhere it to the center of your card with dimensionals. For the final touch, I used the “welcome baby” sentiment from the petite pairs stamp set, punched it out with my 7/8 inch scalloped circle punch and embellished it with a little pearls. Now you have a fun and simple little baby card…Enjoy!
