I have been working on a variety of different card designs which showcase new and retired Stampin’ Up! products…sometimes it’s just hard to let go! 🙂 There are so many awesome products that retired but the good news there are wonderful new products! In any event, I will share a bit of the old and new…they work well together. 🙂
So for this card I decided to go with a little larger size card than the normal A2 size. This card fits perfect in the square Stampin’ Up! envelopes. Start by cutting a piece of coastal cabana cardstock at 5 1/4 x 10 1/2 (scored it in half) so that you end up with a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch card. Cut a 5 x 5 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and cut out the lattice (using the now retired lattice die). Add a piece of designer paper behind the white cardstock (where you cut out the lattice). Turn the lattice 90 degrees and adhere it over the top of the designer paper as shown above. Then I simply dressed it up with some smokey slate butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and one of the images from the flower shop set. Stamp a little sentiment in the upper right hand corner. For the final touch, embellish the butterflies with a few rhinestones and some dazzling details. Makes a simply stunning wedding card but you could certainly use this for any occasion.
