Today I thought I would share a project I put together for a stampin’ event in April. I didn’t win the contest but I sure loved the card. The stamp set is called Morning Meadow and is a hostess set that is only available until the end of May. And…the primose petals cardstock is also retiring but you can easily switch out the cardstock color (see pic below).
To make this card, start with a piece of primrose petals cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/2 x 4 inch piece of sahara sand cardstock. Stamp the flowery images on the right hand side of the sahara sand cardstock with sahara sand ink…then emboss it with the polka dot embossing folder. Cut a 1 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock and a 2 x 4 inch piece of primrose cardstock. Using your markers, color the flowers on the stamp with primrose and the stems with sahara sand…stamp the image on the vanilla cardstock.
Stamp the fancy little apothecary accent in sahara sand ink and add a little greeting. Cut the apothecary image out with the coordinating framelit. Cut an extra apothecary design out (in primrose) to mount behind the thank you. Embellish with a bit of ribbon and some pearls. As I mentioned earlier, you can easily recreate this card in any color. The picture featured on the left is the same design, I just switched out the cardstock colors to wisteria wonder and crumb cake. You can also check out these cards in my new Etsy Store!
