A Stamp for All Occasions ~ Blessed Easter

These little tulips seem to be my “go-to” stamp lately.  I used the set to design a variety of Easter cards and now I am using it to design some flowery spring themed cards!  The stamp set is called Blessed Easter but it really is a stamp for any occasion…just leave off the Easter blessing. 🙂 So let me explain how you will do that…

Start with a piece of whisper white cardstock cut at 4 x 2 3/4 inches. Take a black marker and color the tulips directly on the stamp…do not color the Easter saying (see image on the right). Then stamp your image on the paper. Repeat the coloring process a few more times until you have tulips stamped across the paper. Then you can color them in with a marker or use a sponge dauber to add a bit of color….I decided to use a watercolor image from the Happy Watercolor stamp set to add the red background color to the tulips. And…in case you are wondering…the colors on this card include:  Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar. You can dress up the card by adding a bit of your favorite designer paper, some gold sequin trim and a little sentiment. The little white “stitching” comes from hand drawing a few lines around the tulip image with a white chalk marker. Voila…you have yourself a super cute spring themed card!
