This card was inspired by all of the awesome card designs on Pinterest with the little wooden fences…well, that and because Easter is tomorrow and spring is finally here, sort of, and because I just love tulips!
So let’s talk about how to put this card together. Cut a piece of blushing bride cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock…this is the piece you will do all of your stamping on. Grab the Blessed Easter stamp set and your basic black marker…using the painter tip, color the tulips making sure that you do not color the easter sentiment that is attached to the stamp. Then simply stamp the image on the white cardstock. Repeat this technique 2 more times, staggering the tulip images across the cardstock as shown above. Once you have all of the tulips stamped, simply color them in with your favorite marker colors.
To make the fence, stamp the hardwood image on a piece of cardstock. I actually used a half of sheet of cardstock and stamped the hardwood image all the way across (then I just cut off pieces to fit on my card). Line up the tip of the triangle punch with the straight lined in the hardwood stamp…then just snip off a little triangle (as shown). It makes a cute little dog eared fence design. Cool, hey?
The final touch for this card came from snipping a 3/4 inch piece of green cardstock with my fringe scissors…so it looks like grass across the bottom of the card. So while this card was pretty simple to put together, it does require having a few more gadgets and supplies on hand than some of the other cards I have shared. Here are some of the things you will need:
- Triangle punch
- Fringe scissors
- Blessed Easter stamp set
- Hardwood stamp set
- Marker colors: Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky and Basic Black
Enjoy! Have a wonderful Easter!
