Wetlands ~ Swap

Good Morning!  As I mentioned yesterday, I will be sharing a variety of masculine style cards with you this month.  I have started receiving cards from the swap group that I joined. For those of you that may be unfamiliar with the term “swap”…here’s how it works.  Basically there are 14 of us in the swap group (including me). Each month we have a theme for our swap and, as I mentioned, this month is masculine cards. So…we each make 13 cards (I make 14 so I can keep one for myself).  We each make just one design and send them out to the ladies on our swap list. Then, in return, I receive 13 different ideas from the other swappers!  Cool, hey?

So this is the very first swap I received this month, from Bonnie Waterman, and I just love it!  Did you notice it’s monochromatic? Meaning only one color was used as an accent on the entire card…Early Espresso. The stamp set is called Wetlands and features a variety of masculine images. The background image is the very popular Hardwood stamp! The goose image is framed out using the deco labels framelits.  These framelits are great for matting your images as they come in various sizes. The final touches on this card come from adding a little sentiment, found in the wetlands stamp set, and layered with some oval punches. Great card Bonnie!  Thanks for sharing with us!
