Blooming with Kindness

We are going to be dealing with the bitter cold here in Wisconsin for the next two days…wind chills are expected to be way below zero!

Current temperature this morning is -13 degrees…I’m not sure what the wind chill is but I can tell it’s bitterly cold out there and I am not looking forward to heading out to work this morning!! Brrrr!  So I decided to post some spring and summer style cards as I need something to look forward to!  This card is similar to one that I receive in July…when it was warm outside…at the Stampin’ Up! convention.

To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a piece of elegant eggplant to 5 1/4 x 4 inches. Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock for 5 x 3 3/4 inches….this is the piece you will stamp on.  Grab two different colored ink pads….I used elegant eggplant and strawberry slush. Stamp the flower image, from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set, with the two different ink colors.  By the way, you can use any two ink colors…those that are your favorite or those that you happen to have on hand. Stamp the images across the bottom of the white cardstock. Stamp a sentiment in the upper right hand corner…the Blooming with Kindness stamp set comes with a few different sentiments to choose from. Run a piece of strawberry slush ruffled trim across the bottom of the cardstock.  Secure to the eggplant piece you cut earlier and then to the card base. I sponged a bit of silver dazzling details to add a bit of glimmer to the card. Add a few rhinestones for a bit more bling and pizzaz! Enjoy!
