Flower Shop

Here’s a card from last month’s class that I forgot to share with ya’ll! 🙂  It was inspired by a swap that I received at the July Stampin’ Up! convention. I decided to change out the colors and add some designer series paper…so layout is pretty much the same!  Thank you to the person that swapped with me and please leave a comment if this is your layout!

I started with a piece of very vanilla cardstock for the base of the card.  By the way…did you know that you can buy Cut & Ready Card Bases now? You can and they totally rock!  Check them out here http://bit.ly/1inBqzu. So…back to the card…next I cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper (DSP) which serves as the backdrop for this card. Cut out the largest oval (the scalloped one) from the oval framelits collection and then emboss it with the Pretty Print embossing folder found in the Holiday Catalog. Stamp up a few flowers, from the Flower Shop Stamp Set, using calypso coral ink and punch them out with the coordinating punch. I used the secret garden framelits to cut some leaves out of the DSP.  Then just embellish the card with your favorite sentiment! Oh…I almost forgot…I put a little bit of dazzling details on flowers. 🙂 Enjoy!
