I have been experimenting with different card sketches and designs. This is one of my favorites this week! I really like the plaid and small patterned papers together.
For this card, I used some elegant paper from the Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. I cut the grayish colored paper to 2 x 4 inches. The patterned DSP is cut to 2 1/2 x 3 inches. The maple leaf is stamped, in chocolate chip ink, over some crushed curry patterned paper (found in the Sweater Weather DSP pack). Then I cut out the leaf by hand…yeah, I know, I wish there was a punch for that leaf so we didn’t have to cut it out by hand! 🙂 The truly grateful sentiment is stamped on a 1 x 5 inch piece of sahara sand cardstock and embellished with a few candy dots. Super simple, yet elegant design!
