Christmas Collectibles

Last night I held a fabulous Christmas in July class with some wonderful ladies from the Basket Guild in Hartford!  We had a great time putting together 6 different Christmas cards!  This was one of the popular designs from last night!  I just love the gray and blue colors in the designer paper this year:  Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party!  I am positive that these colors are going to be the hot colors this Christmas season!

So…to make this card, start out with a piece of smoky slate cardstock for your base. Cut a piece of whisper white at 5 1/4 x 4 inches and emboss a Christmas greeting, in silver, in the lower right corner of the cardstock.   Next, find a few pieces of scrap whisper white cardstock and stamp your Christmas Collectible ornament images in two different colors…in this case we used bermuda bay and pool party. Punch out the ornaments using the coordinating punch.  And…the silver ribbon, from the holiday catalog, makes beautiful “hangers” for these ornaments. I ran the silver ribbon underneath the designer paper and the ornaments. Then just tied a few bows to dress up the ornaments. Love the bling!
