Oh Hello ~ Washi Style

I am sooooo excited about all of the cool products in the new 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! annual catalog!!  Wahoo!!  The washi tape is my favorite so far…probably because that is the only product I was able to get my hands on since we cannot order from the new catalog until May 31st!  Haha!  In all seriousness, I do love the washi tape. It adds just enough flare to my projects and it’s really fun to work with!  I like that you can stick the tape to your projects…and if you don’t like how it looks, then you can peel it off and reposition it!  Love that!

So for this card, I decided to use up some of the designer paper that will be retiring at the end of the month.  This designer paper is from the Sunshine and Sprinkles collection!  It was a very popular paper from the spring catalog…one that many of my customers purchased!  Using the large scallop framelit, I cut out a few in sahara sand cardstock and mounted them behind my designer paper.  The designer paper is cut to 5 1/2 x 2 inches. I really like the Oh Hello stamp set and I wanted that sentiment to be the focal point of the card.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of whisper white cardstock and punched out a 2 1/2 inch circle…I off centered the “Oh Hello” a bit so that I could make room for the washi tape!  Then I just embellished the card with vintage faceted buttons, washi tape and my paper doily!  Fun and simple card to make!
